The increased use of fully automated systems in many areas of the economy is growing, and with it the demands on our products.

Quality is the measure of all things - our products must also function smoothly and without incident in automated processes. Our processes have already been partially automated to ensure that they can be used on these systems and meet the requirements for dimensional tolerances.

Future-oriented - Competitive production is hardly possible without automated pallet production/repair. For this reason, our company was expanded in spring 2020 to include another automated sorting and repair system and a large warehouse. Everything is fully automated: from the robot line to the self-propelled forklift.

Sustainability and resource conservation - topics that the Wintergroup not only deals with intensively, but a philosophy that is also practiced in the company.

For us, acting sustainably means using our resources efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner - reuse and recycling are our top priority. Damaged pallets are repaired and reused, rejects and residual materials are recycled and reprocessed as wood chips.

We are constantly investing in new machines and vehicles in order to keep CO2 emissions as low as possible. The majority of our fleet already consists of EURO VI vehicles and internal journeys are made exclusively with electric vehicles such as our electric carts or electric cargo bikes. We also already use electric forklifts for most of our pallet loading and unloading operations. We also have our own e-charging station on the company premises.

Our aim is to increase the proportion of renewable energy - equipping 1500 m² of our production halls with energy-saving LED lighting systems, which reduce our carbon footprint by 20.14 tons of CO2 per year, and installing two photovoltaic systems with a total output of 335 kW to supply electricity were important measures in the area of energy efficiency.

In addition, 100% of the electricity is generated from renewable energy sources, which means that no additional CO2 emissions are caused. Due to the measures taken in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy, we were awarded the winning project Industrieviertel in 2017/2018.

We focus on the reuse of existing resources - we use rainwater previously fed into the system for cleaning pallets, our halls are partly heated with wood chips from sustainably managed forests and partly with air heat pumps.
