The Wintergroup not only supplies its customers with sustainable products, but also continues to optimize its own operations in terms of sustainability. For example, we started saving electricity back in the pioneering days of LED lighting and converted our energy and heat supply to sustainable forms of energy at an early stage. Doing business in harmony with our environment is deeply rooted in our company philosophy, so the improvements in this area will never end.
The expansion of renewable energies is progressing steadily. In addition to the large amount of wind energy in our region, we are investing in the expansion of solar energy in particular and therefore in photovoltaic systems directly at our site.
We are not only doing something good for ourselves, but also for our environment - PV systems produce electricity without generating climate-damagingCO2. - and at the same time the sun constantly supplies us with "free electricity".
Our first PV system was put into operation in 2018. Due to the positive experiences and the constant growth of the company, the system has been continuously expanded to this day. With our existing PV system, we are able to generate up to 1 million KW of sustainable electricity ourselves.
The sustainable electricity produced is used to operate our systems in the production and repair of pallets. When expanding our systems in the future, the energy generation for their operation is always considered at the same time. Our aim is to obtain as much as possible of the energy we use from sustainable sources, including our own photovoltaic system for generated solar energy.
